At Eventistry, we believe that celebrations have the power to inspire change. Our mission is to not only create unforgettable events but also to ensure that they reflect a deep respect for our environment. We are committed to elevating celebrations while embracing sustainability, transforming the way we plan and execute events by integrating eco-friendly practices at every level. From sourcing sustainable materials to minimizing waste, energy use, and carbon footprints, we are dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of every occasion we craft.

Each event is an opportunity for us to innovate—whether by using locally sourced, biodegradable decor, reducing single-use plastics, or working with venues that share our vision for sustainability. We continuously seek out new ways to reduce our carbon footprint while maintaining the elegance, creativity, and personalization that our clients expect.

But we know that sustainability is a journey, and we’re not walking it alone. At Eventistry, we are always eager to collaborate with like-minded partners, vendors, and clients who are equally committed to creating positive change in the events industry. Whether it’s through ethical sourcing, innovative green technologies, or simply a shared passion for protecting our planet, we believe that together, we can set a new standard for sustainable events in Malaysia.

Our approach is to build partnerships with those who share our values, fostering a community that believes in sustainability without compromising on beauty, creativity, or celebration. As we continue to explore and implement new sustainable solutions, we look forward to working alongside collaborators who are equally passionate about creating eco-friendly and impactful events.

Join us in making every celebration a testament not just to love, joy, and creativity, but also to the future of our planet. Together, we can make each event a step toward a more sustainable tomorrow—one celebration at a time.

1. What is an “eco-friendly” or “green” or “sustainable event”?

These phrases have been in trend for a while now, especially in the West. According to the Convention Industry Council (CIC), a green event incorporates environmental considerations into the entire planning process to minimize the event’s negative impact on the environment. (Source here)

In short, it simply means cutting down “one-time-use-of-items” to the minimal and being conscious throughout the planning process by supporting our local businesses, environmental initiatives, non-profits, and using green practices within our company to create beautiful events, cultivate meaningful relationships and make a positive difference to our earth. 2. Why become sustainable? Why #sustainableevents?

Research shows that the average wedding creates about 272 kgs waste, 63 tons CO2 emissions and 3 tons mining waste. While these numbers may not seem very relatable to some of us, what really hit home for us here at Eventistry was when we saw for ourselves the amount of waste that’s left discarded at the site after each event, and that there are other wastes that our naked eyes couldn’t see. It dawned upon us that as event planners, we are very much in a position to help reduce our earth’s carbon footprint by proposing creative alternatives without compromising on our clients’ dream celebrations needs.

How do we do it?

Essentially, here at Eventistry, this means we advocate a modest, non-wasteful nor excessive celebration but what you’ll expect from us is a responsibly planned celebration without compromising on your style.

“Keep your eyes on what truly matters, and try to keep your course steered to the fact that it’s a celebration of love, not excess.”

4. Can I have a luxurious yet eco-friendly wedding? Will my wedding look cheap?

This is probably one of the most common misconceptions about eco-friendly weddings.

People usually link sustainable wedding with only using recycled items and all things DIY. However, these efforts only plays a small part of a green wedding. An eco-friendly wedding doesn’t necessarily mean that we need to sacrifice style and luxury. Sustainability can be luxurious. Now we have so many resources to help to plan a wedding in a more socially conscious and sustainable way. Take it from our favourite actress, Anne Hathaway who married Adam Shulman in 2012. The beautiful couple said their ‘I do’s at the natural and picturesque backdrop of Big Sur, California, and served a vegan menu made from local foods.

In short, our goal is to bring your celebration visions to life while focusing on socially responsible, environmentally friendly and sustainable practices.

Whether you want to find a few meaningful ways to green your event or you aspire to producing a zero-waste celebration, Eventistry is committed to bring your vision to life. We’ll work with you to keep true to your visions, and true to the earth.
