Hello everyone! What an honour to be posting the first entry of the year!
2018 has been a fun and challenging year for us! Last year, we’ve been busy getting all our marketing materials done, setting up our new website gearing up for 2019. We know we are slightly behind the schedule on this hence we are making this special for all our readers. Instead of our usual single post of favourite moments of the year, we decided to pen down 2 individual post of how 2018 has personally and corporately meant to Laverne and myself.
So these are some of the moments which are personally and corporately meaningful to me.
1. The Founding of Eventistry
In 2018, time somehow passed the fastest, perhaps the most growth I experienced in my life. Yet, it was also a different year, in which taking the leap into the world of entrepreneurship when you are still “young and fresh”, which is definitely a challenge for me. I am so grateful to co-found Eventistry with my amazing business-partner-in-crime, Laverne.
A business partnership is pretty much like a marriage. You begin with excitement, full of optimism for the possibilities that obstacles in front of you. There are ups and downs. I believe alone we can do so little but together sometimes one plus one equals three!
Looking forward to the next chapter of our journey in Eventistry and we aim to CREATE UNFORGETTABLE CELEBRATIONS to all our clients. Read more about our story in founding Eventistry here and thank you NDrew Photography for taking the photos for us.
2. Celebrating Marilyn + Nick
One of our weddings together and till today, Marilyn & Nick’s wedding still sparks a little excitement in me just looking back at these photos. One of my favourite aspects of their wedding is the casual wedding reception idea of keeping their celebrations relaxed and fun yet elegant and classy.
During our first meeting with Marilyn and Nick, they told us they would like to have casual wedding along the lines of incorporating their love story elements. It was quite challenging as we want the wedding overall feel to be laid-back and effortless, but we also want the big day to be memorable for the couple and their guests.
Almost one year of planning, I am glad that this wedding was perfectly the balance between understated elegance and fun.

3. Planned A Surprised Wedding Anniversary Room Decor at St Regis KL
Though it was a simple setup but it was quite a remarkable project for us. We received the husband’s call saying he wanted us to style and makeover the suite he booked for his wedding anniversary. So after the call, we came out with a detailed plan and coordinated with the hotel, florist and decorator on setup arrangement.

5. Themed Birthday Celebrations
We will be sharing more about the individual birthday celebrations. Stay tuned.
