With additional safety measures flooding into many couples’ Wedding Planning Checklist today, the new wedding norm may seem like a big step into the unknown. We’re here to let you know, firstly, to stay calm – because you’re definitely not alone!
While change is unavoidable, the next best thing to do is to embrace it and make the best out of it. And we hope by sharing how we’ve braced through the tides for Andrew & Yvonne’s wedding in this article here, it’ll inspire you to hang on and to know that the ride ahead is not that scary after all.

With additional safety measures to follow, it still does not mean you will need to sacrifice the beauty and glamour of your wedding day! For Andrew & Yvonne, we’ve definitely went the extra mile by thinking out of the box to make it a memorable, fun-filled wedding day for the couple and their loved ones – while staying safe at the same time.
It was a day-long celebration for Andrew & Yvonne: with an intimate Morning Ceremony, followed by a Luncheon and Tea Ceremony with closed relatives of the Bride & Groom, and a Pre-dinner Cocktail and Dinner Reception at night. To minimize travel, the same venue space was used throughout the day.
With social distancing regulations in placed, chairs were placed 6 feet apart, guests had to be masked on and their temperature taken. We added fun, cheeky tweaks to the seat tags to lighten up the mood, like “Sister-In-Love” to replace the usual “Sister-In-Law” seat tags. These little details does the trick in putting a smile on your guests’ face!
Sunlight sip through the vast windows of the hall, making the hall brightly-lit in no time. This beautiful golden stand backdrop with vibrant fuchsia flowers did the job in holding the hall together with it’s matching drapes, and not to mention, serving as a stage & photo booth backdrop at the same time!
Moving onto the night was where the real fun began. Andrew & Yvonne hosted a total of 200 family and friends at the dinner reception (which is considered a big wedding in the new norm today!). To ease the registration process, the couple took the extra effort by informing guests of their table seating prior to the wedding day.
More registration categories, such as, Groom’s Side, Bride’s Side, Groom’s Father Side and Groom’s Mother Side were in place as well to avoid overcrowding at the registration area.
As no pre-dinner cocktail is allowed in the new norm wedding today, guests were directed immediately to the dining hall. Greeted by the couple themselves, guests took the time to take photos with the VIPs’ of the night in a comfortable photo session.
The Live Band played away, entertaining guests before the dinner started.
Whilst it is easy to get carried away and forgetting SOPs’ that are in placed (because, who can help it when it comes to joyous occasions like these!), we’ve prepared Glow-In-The-Dark Neon Wristbands that each represented different meanings – just to keep the fun going through the night!
A good wedding host is important when it comes to making guests feel comfortable, especially when introducing new wedding norms today. Our wedding emcee for the night communicated with guests clearly on the proper SOP’s in place – and not to mention cracking some jokes along the way just for laughs!
It was indeed a wedding to remember with Andrew & Yvonne marching in and starting off the night with their First Dance. Food serving was individually platted to minimize food sharing as much as possible. With 8 courses condensed to 5 courses, the night ended in 5 hours according to the new wedding Rules & Regulations.
COVID-19 may have crashed in, unwantedly, to 2020, but it certainly did not bring Andrew & Yvonne’s love down. Beyond the interrupted plans and meticulous measures to hold accountable to, this couple held on and still made it A Wedding to Remember.
