Weddings are a tremendously important occasion, it is the event upon which married couples begin to build the foundation of the rest of their lives together. Undoubtedly, it stands to reason that they would want everything about their wedding day to be perfect. Thomas and Shu Wei felt the same way, and every detail of their wedding was executed with their preferences in mind; from the wedding color theme stemming from the bride’s favorite colors to the pink ambient lighting being that of the groom’s choice.

The morning of the wedding saw the bride getting ready for a tea ceremony with her loved ones. Surrounded by her bridesmaids, Shu Wei started dressing for the big day.

Meanwhile, Thomas laces up his shoes to step out into the tea ceremony as well!

The tea ceremony featured a bold oriental theme to showcase the couple’s heritage. Red was the main color of the theme. The bride and groom sat in front of a simple backdrop that was decorated with bright red fabrics and traditional insignia. Crimson paper flowers lay at their feet and on the backdrop behind them. Lush red roses adorned lanterns on a tabletop between the pair.

The wedding reception was held at the Grand Hyatt in Kuala Lumpur. It was a grand celebration; the banquet hall was dressed in towering ornaments of roses, and the ceiling shimmered with countless translucent lights. Meanwhile, gold tablecloths playfully shimmered down below. It set quite the extravagant scene.

The backdrop was a simple yet gorgeous affair. A mixture of red, pink, and white flowers cascaded from the top and “Thomas & Shu Wei” was beautifully emblazoned in golden letters against a plain white surface.

The main VIP table stood out spectacularly amongst the rest. A grand centerpiece of roses stood tall in the middle of the table, while smaller floral arrangements stood at its feet. Tealight candles in crystalline holders playfully bounced their light off the shimmering tablecloth.

It was evident to all at the wedding that Thomas and Shu Wei shared a passionate and genuine connection with each other. Shu Wei was surprised with a pre-recorded voice-over of Thomas singing her favorite song as they walked into the banquet hall. The live band played along to Thomas’s rendition of “Beautiful in White” as the couple’s walk-in song. It was a beautiful monument to the loving relationship they had nurtured over time.

The end of the night approached and a toast from Thomas and Shu Wei’s loved ones was the fitting end to a magical night. Everyone was elated to celebrate the beginning of Thomas and Shu Wei’s marriage, none more than the lucky couple themselves!

We wish Thomas and Shu Wei a lifetime of joy and happiness!Â
